PhotoClub Vancouver (“PCV”) has secured the Exposure
Gallery, 851 Beatty Street, Vancouver, B.C. from July
5th, 2005 to July 17th, 2005, for an exhibit of its
members photographs.
CHUNG AI PHOTOGRAPHIC SOCIETY SLIDE
SHOW
Chung Ai Photographic Society turns 30 this year. To celebrate,
it will hold a slide show at the Vancouver Public Library on
Sunday evening, November 28, 2004,
starting at 7:30 pm.
It has invited several camera clubs from the Vancouver area,
including PhotoClub Vancouver, to participate by contributing
12 slides to the show.
Members of PCV are invited to bring their best slides to the
October 30 meeting for the selection for the Chung Ai show.
The only criteria are:
- paid up members of PhotoClub Vancouver;
- 35 mm slides only, no prints;
- the slide must have been taken at some time after you became
member of PCV, or since January 1, 2004, if you joined this
year.
The evening is open to the members of photo clubs, with a
maximum attendance of 300.
Chung Ai Photographic Society does not have a web site set
up yet, but our sister club-Photographic Arts Society of Alberta
has publish the details of the Salon on their web site.

sweeping the room, my eyes perceive framed photographs against
empty white walls. For a moment, I feel overwhelmed, surounded
by light, shadow and colours; I do not know were to turn.
I begin tentatively, circling the room aimlessly, looking
from photographs to photographs. Each photograph is a statement
in itself, the freezing of time and place, the capturing of
