Group Field Trip

Date: Sunday February 20, 2022
Time: 10:00 AM - 12:00 Noon
Location: Meet at the northwest corner of 4th Avenue and Burrard Street. We will head west along 4th Avenue. (refer to map below)

Opportunity to photograph the rapidly changing streetscapes of Kitsilano District of Vancouver. In addition, you are welcome to do self-directed field trips and submit images of any changing neighbourhood. Consider submitting a series of three complementary images which tell a story.

In the contemporary economy, inequality is growing and is increasingly concentrated parts of large and mid-sized cities. Over the last decades many neighbourhoods have experienced significant change. Some areas improved economically as affluent residents gentrified formerly working class or artist districts; the Kitsilano District of Vancouver a contemporary example of a neighbourhood in transition.
